Found this lovely half-crippled tree on the hills outside my hometown.Canon EOS 20D
Lens: 18-55mm
1/60 f/: 22 ISO 400
Location: Hässleholm, Hovdala south of Sweden

(I'm not a professional photographer, but from a personal artistic standpoint)
I know the light is the main part of the picture - I think it would look much better if the tree would be sharper in focus (if possible or would it lose the light effect?)
Also, I don't know if it is because the camera is faced against the sun, but there is a very high contrast between the earth and sky - almost as if the sky is a little washed out. (maybe this is because winter skies are whiter??)
I like the shadows on the ground with the snow and also how the sand-colored grasses are out of focus - looks breezy.
I don't know if this was the effect you're going for, I'm just throwing out my personal opinion, but I really like the photograph!
